Conservative-run Buckinghamshire Council has paid £14 million in Covid safety net grants to 2,800 local businesses employing over 7,600 people.
The grant scheme was put in place to support local businesses which fall outside the national government's Local Restrictions Support Grant scheme.
Council Leader Martin Tett said, "I’m proud to say we have focused on trying to get every penny out to help our local businesses. We’ve got around 94 % of our additional grant money out of the door and straight into the bank accounts for local businesses.”
