Conservative-run Buckinghamshire Council has teamed up with Watford Borough Council to win a government grant to help less well-off households make their homes more energy efficient.
This will cut household fuel bills and Buckinghamshire's carbon footprint at the same time. It is another small step towards making our county carbon neutral by 2050.
The award is for £2 million, which will allow for at least 200 homes to be retrofitted with energy-saving technology.
