Two Conservative wins  in by elections held on Thursday 15th in Chesham and Amersham

Chalfont St Peter Central Ward
Jonathan Rush (C) 495
Liberal Democrat 62
Labour 60
UKIP 52

Waterside Ward (Chesham)
Christine Boxer (C) 344
Liberal Democrat 122
Green 86
Labour 75
UKIP 37

The Waterside Ward result is particularly notable as it deprives the Liberal Democrats of overall control for the first time in 20 years. Chesham Town Council is now no overall control.

Congratulations to both of our Candidates who ran strong campaigns, focused on the issues in their wards and avoided descending into the negative political attacks of our opponents.

Cheryl Gillan thanks everyone who gave of their time to help write leaflets, stuff envelopes, telephone, canvass, drive people to the polls etc. These results are a testament to the strong teamwork that is the hallmark of Chesham and Amersham Conservative Association. We all work hard for our local communities and it is good to see that local people still recognise this and entrust their votes to us.
