Graham Harris was born in Gloucester, brought up in rural Kent and moved to Amersham in 1977. Graham qualified as a chartered surveyor and set up his own practice in Watford in 1985. He retired in 2018
He has been married to Jill for 40 years and both of their children attended local state schools.
Graham Harris is a former chairman of Chesham and Amersham Conservative Association. During his time as chairman and since he has campaigned against HS2.
Graham was a member on Chiltern District Council from 2011. Following the creation of Buckinghamshire unitary council he was elected a councillor for Amersham and Chesham Bois division in the new council.
He has been active in the creation and subsequent development of the Chilterns Lifestyle centre. This new multi-purpose leisure and community centre is set to revolutionise Amersham and provide state of art facilities for the growing population.
