The Conservative Government is introducing the following new powers for police and judges:
- Whole life sentences for child killers
- No early release of serious violence & sexual offenders
- Life sentences for killer drivers
- New stop & search powers against convicted knife carriers
- Strengthening powers to tackle illegal encampments
- Max sentence for assaulting emergency workers doubled
- Sentence for damaging memorials increased to 10 yrs
