Emily comes from a long line of Culverhouses and can trace her family in Chesham back to the 12th Century! Her Great Grandfather was Chairman of the Chesham Urban District Council in 1936 and her Grandfather was a local campaigner.
Since moving back to Chesham Emily has involved herself in the community and runs the monthly Chesham Street Market, through which she organises the annual Chinatown in Chesham event and the ‘Happy Flash Mob’ which attracted hundreds of visitors and media interest.
She is also Vice Chairman and Programme Manager of the Chesham Society and a Joint Honorary Secretary of Chesham Theatre Company. Between 2017 and 2018 she was the Mayor of Chesham.
As a day job, Emily is a barrister specialising in crime and data protection law and is a partner in the legal firm RCK Law.
