Mike Stannard served on the Chalfont St. Giles Parish Council for eleven years, five of them as Chairman. Mike moved to St. Giles in 1987, brought up his two children in the village and served for 8 years as a Governor of the village Infant School and Nursery. Many people will also know him from his long-standing involvement with the local Cricket Club.
Professionally, Mike is Financial Director of a group of companies dealing with intellectual property and brand consulting and is also a Non-Executive Director of the Buckinghamshire Building Society.
Mike was elected to the District Council to represent Chalfont St. Giles at a by-election in September 2008. With a particular interest in all matters financial, Mike was invited to join the Cabinet in May 2010 as Portfolio Holder for Financial and Resource Management.
Mike now lives in Chesham and is a councillor for Chesham on Buckinghamshire Council.
